Pros: 1) Good price point.
2) No physical defects noted during visual inspection.
3) Circuit overcharging protection seemed to work. When charging, they cut off between 4.17V-4.20V.
4) Circuit over-discharging protection seemed to work for most cells. I estimate that the cells cut off somewhere between 2.6V-2.7V (based one reading of 2.78V, taken 15 minutes after discharge cut off, and assuming appromately 0.1V rebound while resting).
Cons: 1) The cells are longer than primary (non-rechargeable) CR-123's. They fit my flashlight, but they may not necessarily fit yours. Maximum dimensions (measured along several different axes and body locatons), including insulation thickness: 1.400" long, 0.659" diameter.
2) One of six cells that I purchased did not operate properly. See related Discussion Topic: "Premature cutoff?" (below).
Other Thoughts: Using this product with SKU 13658, the cells operated for 60 minutes on "high" mode. If these cells were 880mah capacity, I would have expected runtimes in excess of 90 minutes. Therefore, I tend to concur with some of the other reviewers who suggested a capacity of 550mah as being more realistic.
Bottomline: Good price point. Some reliability issues. Capacity questionable. My advice for prospective buyers is to keep a spare handy. |
